1). What it means to add hair extensions?
Dakotah Salon & Spa works with Great Lengths technique consisting of attaching pre-treated natural hair to your own hair by joining a pre-bonded extension to our own hair with a warm twisters.
2). How long will hair extensions last?
Full head of extensions will last from three to four months depending of how fast your hair grows and care given to the extension.
3). Is the hair you use human hair?
Yes, the hair we use is 100% human hair. Dakotah Salon & Spa works only with the best.
4). Is your process of attaching hair extensions painful?
No, it is not painful.
5). Will the extensions damage my hair?
No, the extensions will not damage your hair. It looks like protect your hair and help it growth. In some cases few hair is lost if a specially heavy extension is applied to very thin hair.
6). Can I wash and comb my hair extensions?
Yes, you can handle your new extensions in the same way you would handle a head of your own natural long hair.
7). Can the color of the extension hair match my hair color?
Yes, we can get a sample of your hair and custom blending the color for you. Great Lengths are available in 45 classic colors, from blondes, reds, and brunette tones to black.
8). If I am wearing a perm, will the extension hair match my texture?
Yes, along with a wide variety of colors, our hair also comes in many textures including permed and relaxed.
9). In what condition will my own hair be after the extensions are removed?
Your hair will be just like it was before the extensions were put in, there are no adverse effects.
10). How much does it cost?
Because of the vast differences between people a small fee consultation is recommended prior to give a price quote. Factors that influence pricing are length, thickness, color and curls pattern.
11). How long does this process take?
The application will take 6 to 8 hours depending on the number of stains applied.
12). How do I maintain my hair once I have Great Lengths hair extensions?
Great Lengths extensions are treated much the same as if it was your natural hair. There are certain brushes, shampoos, and conditioning products that are recommended. A loose braid is suggested at bedtime to discourage tangling while you sleep.
13). Can Great Lengths hair extensions be styled with heat rollers, curling iron, or round brush?
Yes, if they are kept at an adequate distance from the Great Length bonds.
